PSATS Member Minute: Supervisor Tom Faley

Our new video series, the PSATS Member Minute, will showcase township officials from across Pennsylvania. Up first: retired Col. Tom Faley, a decorated Vietnam War veteran who runs on "people gas" -- and a love for his community.

Got new supervisors or a new manager or secretary coming on board? Want to brush up on local government issues and responsibilities? The PSATS Boot Camp for Township Officials is your ticket to success!

The PSATS Boot Camp is a three-part comprehensive introduction to township governance and operations. Designed for newly elected or appointed township officials, it is also helpful for secretaries and managers who are new to their positions or will soon be working with newly elected supervisors. Classes will be held in 15 locations across the state to make attendance convenient for everyone.

Session 1 gets officials ready for the organization meeting in January and Sessions 2 and 3 present more details on relevent laws and regulations, plus issues that township officials are likely to face in their leadership role.
