Monroe Township in Cumberland County, population 5,400, is seeking an experienced, customer service-focused township manager. The manager will serve as the chief administrative officer and be responsible for the daily operations of the township and administration of a $6 million annual budget. The township currently has seven employees. Preference will be given to applicants with proven experience in municipal management, budget development, grant writing and administration. Upper Saucon Township in Lehigh County is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to serve as director of community development. This full-time position reports to the township manager and is responsible for overseeing all functions of the community development department, including planning, zoning, code enforcement, permits, and inspections. A bachelor’s degree in planning, civil engineering, public administration, or related field is required, plus five years of relevant experience.

Hopewell Township in York County is seeking an administrative assistant. The position is full-time with daytime hours and benefits, including health insurance, retirement, and paid time off. Candidates must:

• be able to communicate professionally with residents of the township by telephone, in-person, and in writing;

• be able to use computer and office software, such as word processing and spreadsheets, efficiently and effectively (QuickBooks experience is a plus);

• demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills; and

• be knowledgeable in the concepts, theories, principles, and practices of accounting and auditing, including internal control concepts, as well as information technology principles and possibilities.

The administrative assistant will be expected to:

• advise the board of supervisors on the capabilities and limitations of available information technology;

• partner with other municipal personnel to provide guidance, manage communication, and provide status updates to the board of supervisors; and

• develop and deliver appropriate progress reports, proposals, and presentations, including meeting agendas and minutes.

West Manheim Township in York County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of township manager. The manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the township and administration of a $6 million budget.

West Manheim Township, with a population of about 8,000, is located in the southwest corner of York County. The township maintains a full-time police force and emergency medical, public works, code enforcement, and utilities services, with a staff of 22 full-time and 9 part-time employees.

Candidates must have proven experience managing a municipality and developing and managing a municipal budget. A bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field and/or at least five years of experience in local government administration is preferred.  Experience in a similarly sized community with a talented and diverse staff will be considered.
